Albion Caster launches new product configurator and intelligent filter system
Albian Caster, a leading brand of the Colson Group, has launched a brand new digital foundry configurator. With instant download of 3D CAD models from the Albion website, the product configurator improves customer experience and efficiency through a faster development process.
As a leading provider of ergonomic castor solutions, Albion now offers state-of-the-art technology on its new website to match the efficiency and durability of its proven castors. The new caster catalog of over 60,000 CAD models is designed to help engineers quickly and easily find and download a free 3D CAD model for their specific application from the Albion website.
"The key is efficiency and the instant delivery of content that our customers need for their work. CADENAS technology makes this possible on our various websites and in the app. It gives designers, engineers and buyers the content they need to do their research and bring their products to life," says Brad Kish, Director of Marketing Communications at Colson Group.
Prior to the launch of the new configurator, Albion only had a limited number of CAD downloads; custom CAD drawings could take up to a few days to create and send to customers. Now the engineer can instantly configure and download a native CAD model from over 100 software formats and versions. The website also has intelligent filtering systems to help users match their requirements with the individual SKU pages where the already configured CAD models and product datasheets are available for download.
"The Albion website is the first implementation of all the new technologies we have been working on with CADENAS. We look forward to rolling out our developments to our other brand websites by the end of 2019 to improve the customer experience on all our websites," said Kish.
