BESSEY Tool launches digital parts catalog, expanding online access to its products
BESSEY Tool was founded in 1889 as a bright steel drawing shop (also known as a cold rolling mill) in Stuttgart and has continuously expanded its range of products and services. Today, BESSEY Tool, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, produces more than 1200 products and is one of the largest clamping and cutting tool manufacturers in the world with a presence in over 100 countries. Its clamps are often used to hold workpieces of different thicknesses and can be clamped with almost constant clamping force without manually changing the position of the pressure screw.
Since the beginning of 2016, the company has been offering engineers and purchasers digital 3D design data via an electronic online product catalog based on the CADENAS platform.
The aim: to make it easier for users to access 3D CAD data
The collaboration with CADENAS USA was a well-thought-out decision by BESSEY Tool: "We became aware of CADENAS and their 3D CAD model download portal through contact with various design offices and departments at industrial companies," explains Rainer Steinle, Product Marketing Manager at BESSEY Tool GmbH & Co. Bessy tool has made its digital catalog available on the BESSEY tool 3Dfindit CAD catalog, which gives customers direct access to the 3D standard parts. The catalog contains the product lines Horizontal Toggle Lever, Vertical Toggle Lever and #. Using these digital models, users can digitally create their fixture base or workstation to exact specifications, achieving the perfect design in no time.

In the Electronic Product Catalog, engineers and purchasers can find all the technical information they need, including 2D drawings and 3D models of components. Users can search for 3D CAD models by navigating through the catalog structure or using various search functions. The search functions include: Geometric Similarity Search, or GEOsearch and Full Text Search.
