CADENAS Becomes Technology Partner in the Eplan Partner Network

Live at SPS in Nuremberg, the contract was sealed: CADENAS is now a member of the Eplan Partner Network. Terry Jonen, Managing Director of CADENAS, and Sebastian Seitz, CEO of Eplan, signed the new technology partnership on November 26, 2025. The declared goal of the collaboration is to expand the provision of technical device data in the Eplan Data Portal. This will be achieved through an interface between the Data Portal and the CADENAS platform 3Dfindit.
At the SPS Eplan and CADENAS signed a groundbreaking technology partnership that makes it easier for users to find the right 3D component data. “With CADENAS, we gain a strong partner that significantly enriches the Eplan Data Portal with additional, validated content,” explains Sebastian Seitz, CEO of Eplan. “For our customers, this collaboration is crucial because by integrating the CADENAS component database, we expand the already comprehensive selection of component data in the Eplan Data Portal with entirely new, sometimes very complex configuration data – for example, in the energy sector.” Terry Jonen, Managing Director of CADENAS, says about the newly sealed partnership: “By connecting 3Dfindit to the Eplan Data Portal, we make it easier for engineers to access precise and up-to-date product data, thereby increasing value creation for our joint customers.”
Added Value for Designers in Focus
Comprehensive digital article data is indispensable for designers. It accelerates project planning and engineering efficiency and makes a valuable contribution to greater data consistency. To achieve this, an interface to the CADENAS portal will be developed, which users can access via the Eplan Data Portal – directly through Eplan’s own cloud. The interface will be designed in close coordination, and both providers, Eplan and CADENAS, also intend to actively promote dialogue with component manufacturers.
Benefits for Users at a Glance:
- Eplan users benefit from a significantly expanded data offering, including complex designs
- Designers gain additional options when selecting component data
- Data consistency throughout the entire engineering process increases
With the signing of the contract, technical implementation now begins. In the coming months, both partners will define concrete measures in technical working groups to gradually expand the collaboration. The goal is to validate added value for joint customers along the value chain. This concerns various topics and industries – for example, the energy sector. For Eplan users, data depth and consistency in the Eplan Data Portal will increase, which already provides over 4 million component data sets directly or via configuration.
