CADENAS makes the new format ARCHICAD available
Steady expansion of CAD formats for architects and civil engineers at BIMcatalogs.net
Effective immediately, 3D BIM engineering data of the BIMcatalogs.net portal is available also in native ARCHICAD format GSM (=ARCHICAD library object) from version 17 on. Thus CADENAS underpins its multi-BIM CAD approach, which enables the exchange of data on the product level beyond the limits of individual BIM CAD systems.
The ARCHICAD GSM format of the GRAPHISOFT company, a part of the Nemetschek Group, is compatible to the respective systems. "We are happy about the partnership with CADENAS and look forward to providing an even greater variety of objects to the users", confirmed Holger Kreienbrink, Head of Product Management Germany/Austria of GRAPHISOFT Germany GmbH.
Why use native formats?
In contrast to neutral formats, native formats also have intelligent design and display information, eliminating manual editing in the respective CAD system. By avoiding any conversion, optimal use is ensured. Time- and cost-intensive data migration is no longer required and the planning process is accelerated.
