All-new interactive design tool puts the power in the hands of Hapman users

Hapman, an industrial manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment and systems, recently launched its new online interactive design tool for its bulk material unloaders. The interactive design tool, powered by CADENAS USA, allows engineers to instantly configure and design the exact machine they need, making the specification of Hapman machines one of the easiest in the industry.

Hapman is best known for its wide range of powder and bulk material handling equipment used in a variety of industries around the world. Products include tube chain conveyors, flexible screw conveyors, bulk material unloaders and much more.

Previously, users could not configure the equipment themselves or obtain 3D models for their preliminary design. Greg Patterson, Vice President of Hapman, explains: "Customers would call and ask for product details, technical data or a brochure. Sometimes engineers would ask for more details and we would provide a 2D sales drawing. We felt that this was not enough. We saw this as an opportunity to develop the relationship with our customers and provide them with a better buying experience."

Hapman has launched a new interactive 3D online design tool for its bulk unloaders, allowing users to design and preview their own Hapman units with thousands of possible configurations. Once their design is complete, users can download the drawing in more than 150 2D and 3D file formats, including native CAD models for the most popular systems. In addition, the interactive design tool has a built-in function to instantly submit the design to the Hapman sales team for a quote.

"We see this as a big step towards providing the best possible experience by offering the latest technical support to customers evaluating and purchasing industrial bulk handling equipment. The tool will also allow us to be more efficient in our work at Hapman. We will gain better insight into applications, allowing for a streamlined process for quoting and purchasing, while providing a great customer experience," explains Patterson.

Hapman will initially roll out the interactive design and configuration feature to its core range of appliances, but will continually add more products over the coming months.

"It's great to see our solutions being adopted by a company that really understands them," says Jay Hopper, President and COO of CADENAS. "Hapman has recognized the opportunity to build a closer relationship with its customers by providing them with on-demand access to powerful design tools and critical product data. Customers will be thrilled with how easy it is to do business with Hapman."
