Native CAD content: CADENAS expands manufacturer catalogs with new formats

CADENAS has completed the annual update of the 3Dfindit port als, enabling engineers and architects to download native CAD content in the latest versions of popular CAD and BIM tools. This update is seamlessly integrated into the underlying structure of the portals and ensures that the content provided by the manufacturers is always up to date. This is one of the many ways CADENAS future-proofs the content they provide to manufacturers, providing a fast, flexible and secure platform that is designed for growth.
Native CAD content: New 3Dfindit format updates for 2023
CADENAS has added native support for the latest versions of Autodesk AutoCAD, Dassault CATIA, PTC Creo Parametric, PTC Creo Direct Modeling, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, Autodesk Revit, Siemens Solid Edge and Dassault SolidWorks. This will be active on engineering portals such as 3Dfindit as well as hundreds of portals embedded in manufacturer websites.

Manufacturers enjoy worry-free technology with CAD / BIM compatibility from 3Dfindit
By maintaining the underlying catalog technology and current formats, CADENAS has ensured that manufacturers have one less thing to worry about. With 3Dfindit, content is ready for the future. Each manufacturer's 3D content works with the latest CAD and BIM versions, formats and revisions because CADENAS continuously maintains compatibility. The content infrastructure also keeps pace with changes in browser technology, new devices and operating systems, providing stability for manufacturer websites that offer 3D visualization and configuration.
Meet customer needs and keep them coming back for more
It's critical for manufacturers to keep customers engaged with the website, as up to 82% of downloads ultimately lead to a purchase. Designers, engineers and purchasers need to be able to configure and download product data, and they want it to be provided directly from the manufacturer in their preferred native CAD formats. When manufacturer information is embedded in the product model and identified in the bill of materials, products are easier to source and are specified earlier in the design process.
CAD/BIM outputs in 150 formats and versions
By providing content in native CAD/BIM formats, manufacturers can meet the needs of a wider audience across a variety of industries. Engineers, architects and designers require high quality product data in the native format of their design system for a variety of reasons. Providing native CAD content not only offers a better user experience, but also benefits manufacturers. Providing these native formats ensures that the manufacturer's brand name and part number are included in the CAD or BIM model and included in the bill of materials so that the buyer knows where to purchase the product once the project is complete.
