Power Jacks reduce the waiting time for native CAD models from one day to five minutes

Previously, PowerJacks ' customers had to wait a whole day to receive 3D CAD models and product data. Now, with CADENAS' new online product configurator, they can get their parts in just 5 minutes. "It was crucial for our customers to receive CAD data quickly, 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world and in the format they wanted. They also needed to retain all key product information," explains Bruce Hamper, Marketing Director at Power Jacks. "We needed something that was state of the art in all areas, so we looked around the market and CADENAS turned out to be the best."

To ensure users get the most out of the online system, Power Jacks has implemented two separate online tools from CADENAS, including the native CAD configurator and a product selector."The CAD model configurator is for the engineer who knows exactly what they need, selects the appropriate product options and variants and downloads the part. The product selector, on the other hand, is for the engineer who is not familiar with our products but knows all the parameters required for their particular application. They enter these details and the system recommends a product based on Power Jacks' best practices," says Hamper.

The configurator and selector supported by CADENAS is expected to see a dramatic increase in downloads in the months following its release in March. There are currently four product groups with large product ranges online. This results in thousands of product variants in over 100 native CAD model formats. For example: Autodesk, Revit, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, NX, etc. and more are planned for the near future.
