Entocentric lenses have a fixed or variable (zoom lenses) angle of beam spread of the optics to the object.They are used for application areas such as presence and placement checks, pick and place applications, feature inspections, color applications, OCR and code reading. The perspective error makes them unsuitable for survey tasks. Telecentric lenses are special optical lenses characterized by having the entrance or exit pupil at infinity. These are mainly used in survey tasks with high repeatability.
