Torque motor

A torque motor is an electromechanical linear motor that exerts a rotational force on an object. The rotational force is generated by the electrical energy flowing in a fixed magnetic field. The torque motor consists of a stator and a rotor. The stator is a stationary magnet located inside a housing. The rotor is an electrically conductive ring that rotates around the stator. The rotational force is transmitted to the rotor when electrical energy flows through the stator.
