Expanding blind rivet

The expanding blind rivet is a special rivet used to fasten metal sheets or plates to a substructure. To do this, the rivets are inserted into a pre-drilled hole and bent up using a special tool called an expanding rivet tool. The bending up causes the rivet cap to expand, thus holding the rivet firmly in place. Expanding blind rivets are available in various sizes and designs.
