BIM street furniture: NUSSER now offers 3D BIM objects of street furniture

NUSSER Street Furniture is now providing 2D, 3D & BIM objects for its site furnishings catalog, powered by CADENAS, the specialist in digital product catalogs. This new BIM product catalog enables planners and architects to configure the 2D, 3D & BIM objects of benches, tables, waste garbage cans and various accessories directly in many common BIM planning systems and easily integrate them into their plans.
The data is maintained in a central database and is available to NUSSER customers for download via plugin in many common BIM systems, including Autodesk Revit, Graphisoft Archicad, Nemetschek Allplan, Vectorworks, Tekla Structures & SketchUp. In addition, the system provides product documentation, installation data, installation instructions and maintenance and care instructions, all of which can be downloaded free of charge from the NUSSER portal.

Improved customer service & marketing with urban 3D construction site equipment
NUSSER has been developing and producing furniture for outdoor public spaces for almost 90 years. The German-made products are manufactured in a balanced mix of traditional craftsmanship and industrial production. With the comprehensive, scalable solution for electronic product catalogs from CADENAS, furniture manufacturers such as NUSSER can take a targeted step towards digitization and provide their customers and interested parties with free BIM data for optimal support in urban and landscape planning. The new BIM construction site furnishings catalog from NUSSER increases planning reliability for costs and deadlines and creates process transparency. The product information is also provided in two different levels of development (LOD) relevant to the respective construction phases. In this way, NUSSER meets the different needs of architects and planners in urban and landscape planning.
NUSSER 3D construction site equipment available directly on the website
In addition to direct access from the BIM systems to NUSSER's BIM objects, these product models are also available for free download on the company's website. Thanks to deep links to the BIM product catalog, architects and planners can jump directly from the selected NUSSER product to the 3D object in the product catalog powered by CADENAS. This integration of product information saves customers a lot of time and research effort.
"We at NUSSER see ourselves as a premium manufacturer of street furniture. In addition to developing and manufacturing first-class products for outdoor furniture, we want to offer our customers a comprehensive service. Driven by our own ambition to constantly improve our service, we are now offering BIM data for a large number of our products for free download on our newly designed website," says Alexander Beyer, authorized signatory and general sales manager of the NUSSER GROUP.
We are convinced that this step will enable us to support architects and planners even better," continues Beyer. Thanks to the plugin developed by CADENAS, our BIM catalog is also directly accessible from many planning programs. This improves and simplifies the workflow at the planning level enormously. Our BIM catalog is now being successively expanded, supplemented with missing products and constantly kept up to date."
Textures and material properties for an even more realistic representation of 3D construction elements
In collaboration with CADENAS, NUSSER has also enriched the 2D, 3D and BIM terrain features with individual textures and material properties of the respective products. By displaying the surface structure in the 3D preview, architects and planners get an even more realistic impression of the street furniture without increasing the complexity of the geometry. This means that the BIM objects are also ideal for the use of augmented reality technologies, bringing great benefits for landscape and urban planning. This outstanding feature sets NUSSER apart from its competitors.
