Planetary gear motors

Planetary gearmotors are a type of gearmotor in which one or more planetary gears are arranged in a housing around a sun gear. The planetary gears are connected by one or more cranks driven by an electric motor. The sun gear is usually fixed to the motor housing. The planet wheels rotate around their own axis and at the same time around the axis of the sun wheel. The different rotation rates of the planet wheels and the sun wheel transmit a torque to the output element of the gearbox.
